| Charles A. Colony DOUSMAN - Charles A. Colony, 67, died early Wednesday morning, Dec. 29, at his residence. He was born Nov. 19, 1932, in Crystal Falls, Mich., the son of Charles and Laura (Lane) Colony. Colony served in the United States Navy from 1952-1956 in the Pacific fleet, including service in China and Korea. His final duty assignment was the U.S.S. Taylor. Colony was a lifetime member of Painters Local 781 and was a retired drywall finisher. He also worked as a miner and in several Milwaukee-area factories prior to becoming a drywall finisher. He married Arlene Drifka in October 1963. Colony will be sadly missed by his wife and beloved friend of 36 years; his son, Lee (Anna) Colony of Waukesha; daughter, Jean Marie Colony of West Allis. He will also be missed by one brother, Harry (Antje) Colony, St. Germain.; three sisters, Corrine Frisque, Rhinelander; Bea (Al) Hauke, Waterford; and Berneice Colony, Waukegan, Ill. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Trudy Colony and Dorothy Thompson. Colony was a generous man who delighted in serving others and always put the needs of his family first. He enjoyed the outdoors, watching wildlife and gardening. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 31, at Larsen Brothers Funeral Home, 15250 W. National Ave., New Berlin. A service will follow, beginning at 3 p.m. Memorials to the Waukesha Memorial Hospital oncology unit would be appreciated.
