LaVerne ‘Toby’ Sievert

MUKWONAGO - Lifelong Waukesha County resident LaVerne "Toby" Sievert, 65, died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1999, at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital. He was born in the town of Ottawa on June 5, 1934, to the late Elmer and Ellen (nee Dalton) Sievert. Mr. Sievert served in the U.S. Army in 1955 and was employed by Stevens Construction, retiring in 1989, and then later worked for Huffy Sports, retiring in 1996. He will be remembered as a loving husband and father who always put the needs of his family first.

Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Wilma (nee Payne) Sievert; their children, Scott D. Sievert of Madison, Randall W. Sievert of Waukesha, Martin W. Sievert of Mukwonago and Andrew L. Sievert of Watertown; and two granddaughters, Michelle and Holly. He is further survived by brothers LeRoy Sievert of Mukwonago, Donald (Lorene) Sievert of North Prairie, Merlin (Patricia) Sievert of Tomahawk; his sisters, Alice Lamp of Waukesha, Marjorie (Arthur) Lamp, Marion (Darrell) Mengel of Friendship and Bernice (Donald) Gardinier of North Prairie; and brothers and sisters-in law, Donald (Shirley) Payne of Sullivan, Willard (Harriet) Paepke of Adams, Francis (Jeannette) Lamp of Dousman, Kenneth Buchs of Waukesha and Warren Carroll of Port Washington. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Joseph, and a brother, Harvey.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the noon funeral service Monday, Jan. 3, at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. Burial will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery. Memorials to Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital Cancer Research Center are appreciated.
