TOMAH - Joyce M. (Aukofer) St. George of Sparta died Monday, Dec. 27, 1999, at the Tomah Hospice Serenity House at the age of 68. She was born May 5, 1931, to Reginald and Margaret (nee Holle) St. George in Milwaukee. Joyce grew up and lived most of her life in the Milwaukee area.

She worked as an assembler for Northern Automotive in West Salem. In her spare time she enjoyed golfing, dancing and spending time with family and friends.

Joyce is survived by a very special friend, Harold Borisch of Racine; three daughters: Diane Rey of Arizona; Mary (Richard) Timm of Cataract, and Judy (Lyle) Helmer of Waukesha; three sons: William (Patricia) Aukofer of Neosho, Daniel (Debra) Aukofer of Waukesha and Gregory (Chrissy) Aukofer of Wales; one brother: Reginald (Nancy) St. George of Florida; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild and other relatives and friends. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Jimmie; and one brother, Donald.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 3 at Holy Apostles Church, 16000 W. National Ave., New Berlin. Family and friends are welcome at 9:30 a.m. until the time of the services on Monday. Burial will follow in Holy Apostles Cemetery.
