LADY LAKE, Fla. - Ethelwyn C. Johnson Gorder, 92, of Florida died Sunday, Dec. 26, 1999, in Lady Lake, Fla. She was the daughter of William and Myrtle (Smart) Wilcox and was born Jan. 13, 1907, in New Lisbon, where she was raised. She married Charles O. Johnson; he preceded her in death in 1948. She later married Glen W. Gorder, who preceded her in death in 1986.

Ethelwyn taught third and fourth grade in the Waukesha Public Schools for many years. She moved to The Villages in Florida in 1987. She was a member of Chapter 158 Order of the Eastern Star and of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Waukesha.

She is survived by two sons, Charles (Ellen) Johnson of The Villages, Fla., and Donald A. (Merry) Johnson of St. Clair Shores, Mich. She is further survived by three granddaughters and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, and her daughter, Sandra Johnson, in 1946.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, at the New Lisbon City Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Wendt presiding.
