| Larry R. Whipple WAUKESHA - Larry R. Whipple, 62, passed away to eternal life Thursday, Dec. 23, 1999, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. He was born Oct. 25, 1937, in Milwaukee to Robert and Katherine (nee Reidl) Whipple. He was a 1956 graduate of Rufus King High School. He was a manager of many Kohls grocery stores and was instrumental in establishing the store in Waukesha on East Avenue. Mr. Whipple was a former member of St. Marks Lutheran Church, was an avid gardener and loved the outdoors. He is lovingly survived by his daughter Diane (Timothy) Thuemling of Eagle; son-in-law David Moore of Mukwonago; his mother, Katherine "Katie" Whipple of Waukesha; three grandchildren, Sarah Lenhardt, and Danielle and T.J. Thuemling; sisters Beverly (Greg) Wamser of Waukesha, Barbara (Tom) Kehoe of North Carolina, Kathy (Bill) Neubert of Dousman; brothers Ron (Barb) Whipple of Waukesha and Bob Whipple of Waukesha. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert, in 1965 and his daughter Janet Moore in 1999. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m Tuesday, Dec. 28, at Randle-Dable Funeral Home. The Rev. James Bickel will officiate a memorial service beginning at 6 p.m. Interment will be at Wisconsin Memorial Park at a later date. Memorials are appreciated to St. Marks Lutheran Church, Childrens Ministries, as that is where his daughters and grandchildren learned about the love of Jesus. |
