FORT ATKINSON - Harold E. Neipert, age 81, of Fort Atkinson, formerly of Helenville, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 1999, at Fort Atkinson Memorial Health Services.

He was born Aug. 30, 1918, in Helenville, the son of Clarence and Della (Lembrich) Neipert. He married Eleanore Wallent on Jan. 6, 1945, in Milwaukee. She preceded him in death on Sept. 14, 1997.

He was a member of the St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Helenville. He was a member of the Helenville Volunteer Fire Department. He owned and operated the family farm and also worked at the former Borg Textiles in Jefferson, retiring in 1980.

He is survived by two sons, Kenneth (Linda) Neipert of Fort Atkinson and Alan (Nicki) Neipert of Waukesha; a daughter, Barbara (Kenneth) Koch of Green Bay; five grandchildren, Brad Koch of Beacon Falls, Conn., Bethene Koch of Golden Valley, Minn., Kimberly Koch of Green Bay, Elizabeth Sarah Neipert and Nicholaus Paul Neipert, both of Fort Atkinson; seven step-grandchildren, Christine MacFarlane, Katie Craig, Barbara Allard, Eric Brown, Nathan Brown, Matthew Brown, Patrick Brown; a niece, Kathryn Yerp; a nephew, Rick Neipert; a sister-in-law, OraMay Neipert of Janesville.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Robert O. Neipert.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 27, 1999, at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Helenville with the Rev. Lance A. Hoff officiating.

Friends may call at the Olsen Funeral Home in Jefferson from 5 p.m to 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 26, and Monday at the church after 10 a.m. until the time of services.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Helenville.

The family requests that contributions be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
