WAUKESHA - Georgia H. Smart of Waukesha died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 1999, at Shorehaven Health Center in Oconomowoc at the age of 82. She was born Feb. 4, 1917, in Virden, Ill., the daughter of Bert and Bertha (nee Hughes) Bond. Georgia was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in Waukesha, and was a retired food service secretary at Carroll College in Waukesha.

Georgia is survived by daughters Jill Smart of Port Washington, Jane (Paul) Merz of Barnes and Naomi (Floyd) Rose of Oconomowoc; seven grandchildren; her sister, Barbara Harshbarger of Roscoe, Ill.; and her best friend, Enid Lieske. Georgia is further survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vern Smart, in March 1987.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 26, at the Rudolph-Larsen Bros. Funeral Home, East Avenue at Carroll Street in Waukesha, with the Rev. Frank Gaylord officiating. Burial will take place Monday, Dec. 27, at Willwood Burial Park in Rockford, Ill. Friends may call Sunday from 4 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at Rudolph-Larsen Brothers.
