PEWAUKEE  Loran J. Marmes Sr. was born to Eternal Life on Monday, Dec. 20, 1999, at the age of 89.

Loran was the dear father of Patricia (John) Linquist of Superior, Rosemary Olson of Superior, Janet Gosdeck of Watertown, Sharon Seever of Watertown, Loran Jr. (Jane) of Pewaukee, Brian (Doreen) of Fort Atkinson and Roland (Georgia) of Watertown. He was the fond brother of Clara Marx of Appleton and Roland (Helen) Marmes of Neenah. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Loran worked for Harnischfeger for 29 years before retiring. He played in and was a member of the Lebanon Municipal Band, Watertown Municipal Band and the Watertown Municipal Choir.

He was an avid camper and hiker. Until last year, he enjoyed his daily hike on the Bug Line Trail in Sussex.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, at Yonke & Son Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the time of the services. Interment will be Thursday, Dec. 23, in Neenah.
