WAUKESHA  Melvin H. Davies died Saturday, Dec. 18, 1999, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 74. He was born July 28, 1925, in Milwaukee, the son of Thomas & Martha (nee Krumbein) Davies.

Mr. Davies was a member of St. Matthias Episcopal Church in Waukesha. He was a retired superintendent of the Hunzinger Construction Company after 30 years of service, and was a member of the Carpenter’s Union. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served his country in World War II. He enjoyed golfing at Moor Downs Golf Club.

He was the dear father of Sharon (Robert) Patterson of Waukesha, Cindy (Sal) Garcia of Las Vegas, Nev., and Dave (Chris) Davies of Oshkosh; dear grandfather of Heather (Lee) Hansen of Waukesha, and Evan and Dylan Davies, both of Waukesha; and proud great-grandfather of Jack Thomas Hansen. He is also survived by his cousin, Patricia Flynn of Waukesha, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte M. Davies, in 1987.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. today, Dec. 21, at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home-West of Moreland Boulevard. The Rev. Dr. Douglas Sparks will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 p.m until the time of the service. Interment will be in Prairie Home Cemetery. Memorials would be appreciated to the American Heart Association.
