| William S. Randle WAUKESHA Lifelong Waukesha resident and funeral director William S. Randle died Thursday, Dec. 16, 1999. He was one of five children born to the late Harrie R. and Harriett M. Randle, born on April 14, 1923. Mr. Randle owned and operated the Randle Funeral Home, later Randle-Dable Funeral Home in Waukesha. The firm was founded in 1891 by his grandfather, J. K. Randle. During World War II, Mr. Randle served with the U.S. Navy Seabees on Guam. He was a member of D.J. Martin Post #8 of the American Legion, VFW Post #721, and the Navy Seabee Veterans of America Inc. Professionally, he belonged to the Wisconsin Funeral Directors Association and the National Funeral Directors Association, having been a funeral director for 50 years, beginning in 1949. He was formerly a member of the Waukesha Kiwanis Club. Surviving is his wife, Agnes (nee Olsen), and sisters Jane R. (J.D.) Banks of Neenah, Betty L. Greer of Wilmington, Del., and Anne R. Waldner of Charlottesville, Va., as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 19, at the Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave. A second visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, Dec. 20, from 10 a.m. until the 10:30 a.m. funeral service. Interment at Prairie Home Cemetery will follow.
