WHITEWATER - Ena Pickering Munro passed away Monday, Dec. 13, 1999, at Fairhaven Retirement Home in Whitewater at the age of 93. She was born in Wanette, Okla., on April 16, 1906, the daughter of Joseph and Frances (nee DeJarnette) Boatwright. She married Eugene Pickering in 1928; he died in June of 1951. She married Hugh Munro of Waukesha in 1953; he preceded her in death in July of 1982.

Survivors include her sister, Joy Vestal of Farmersville, Calif.; her sons, Warney (Harriet) Pickering of Janesville and Gene (Lois) Pickering of Norfolk, Va.; her daughter, Sandra (William) Brown of Pineville, N.C.; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, three brothers, three sisters and one granddaughter.

A memorial service for Ena will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home-West, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha.
