WAUKESHA   Edgar W. Price, age 74 of Waukesha, died Monday, Dec. 13, 1999, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. He was born June 29, 1925, in Manistique Mich. He was a son of the former Edgar Melvin and Zita Elizabeth (nee Goudreau) Price. He graduated from Waukesha High School in 1944 and played on the 1944 Waukesha High School championship basketball team. He then played football at University of Wisconsin-Madison, becoming a member of the W Club. Edgar served in the U.S. Army. On Oct. 26, 1948, he married Kathryn Maye Atkinson at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waukesha.

Edgar had worked at the former R.T.E. (Cooper Power Systems), retiring in 1987. He was a member and an usher for First United Methodist Church in Waukesha, a member of the Mayville American Legion Post #69 in Mayville and a member of Paul’s Breakfast Club.

Edgar is survived by his wife: Kathryn Price of Waukesha; his four daughters, Leslie (James) Zuelsdorf of Mayville, Nanette "Nan" Price (Ben) Loucks of St. Paul, Renee (Tim) Harris of Waukesha and Michele "Micki" (Gary) Metzger of Waukesha. He is also survived by six grandchildren: Lisa Zuelsdorf and Michael (Stacey Erdman) Zuelsdorf, Lela, Justine and Timmy Harris and Kara Metzger, along with a brother-in-law: John (Nancy) Atkinson; Mari, Cathy and Jenny (David) LaMack and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Edgar will be held at 7 p.m. today, Dec. 15, at the First United Methodist Church, 121 Wisconsin Ave., Waukesha. The Rev. Mary Jo McDougall will officiate. Friends may call at the church from 4 p.m. today until the time of the service. Private family entombment will be at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery.
