Bruce J. White

WAUKESHA - Bruce J. White of Waukesha died Friday, Dec. 10, 1999, in Florida. He was born on July 19, 1926, the son of Wave and Cora (nee Casper) White. He was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church where he was a choir director and organist for many years. He was a music educator for 36 years in the New Berlin School District. He was a member of the Wisconsin Bandmasters Association, John Deere Two Cylinder Club and founding member of the Waukesha Area Symphonic Band. He was a longtime member of the Waukesha Park Recreation Band and adjudicator for the Wisconsin State Music Association.

He will be sadly missed by his daughter, Paula (Juan) Guerrero of Madison; his sisters, Barbra Garey of Rock Island and Catheryn (Heinz) Nastke of Madison; his brother, Lewis (Lois) White of Columbus; his grandchildren, Kjersti, Kari and Kelsi Boldon, all of Madison; and his sisters-in-law, Lois (John) Freidel of Chilton and Donna Fox of Madison. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey; his parents; his brother-in-law, Ron Fox; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mildred and Norman Berner.

Funeral services for Bruce will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 425 Hyde Park Ave., Waukesha. The Rev. James Wilch will officiate. Friends may call at the church from 10 a.m. Thursday until the time of the service. Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Waterloo following the service. Memorials to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, the Bruce White Musical Scholarship Fund or the American Heart Association are appreciated.
