| Edward E. Dahms MUKWONAGO - Edward E. Dahms of Mukwonago died Sunday, Dec. 12, 1999, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital from injuries he sustained in an automobile accident. He was 83 years old. Edward was born in Waukesha on Nov. 4, 1916, to George and Edna (nee Erbach) Dahms. On Oct. 29, 1938, he married Maybelle Blanchard in Milwaukee. Edward worked at Siemens-Allis in West Allis for 44 years. While employed at Siemens, he also farmed for many years in the town of Mukwonago and also worked as a police officer for the village of Mukwonago and the Waukesha County Sheriffs Department. Edward was a World War II Army veteran, a member of Vernon Evangelical Lutheran Church in the town of Vernon, the Laflin Lodge #247 F. & A.M. in Mukwonago, the Tripoli Shrine and the American Legion Post #375 in Mukwonago. Survivors include his wife, Maybelle; a daughter, Darlene (Jay) Schwanke of Mukwonago; two grandchildren, Alex and Jackie Schwanke; two sisters, Lois Edwards of Waukesha and Jeanette Killips of Racine; one brother, Raymond (Margaret) Dahms of Waukesha; one brother-in-law, Maynard (Lorry) Blanchard of Milwaukee; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Wayne. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the time of a Masonic service at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, at the Schmidt & Bartelt-Van Valin Funeral Home, 315 Main St., Mukwonago. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, at Vernon Evangelical Lutheran Church, S90-W27550 National Ave., town of Vernon; the Rev. Scott Jorgenson will officiate. Entombment will follow at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield. Memorials to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
