MUKWONAGO - Ernest R. "Ernie" Heiskanen, of Mukwonago, died on Dec. 10, 1999 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. He was 56.

He was born October 31, 1943, to Toivo Heiskanen and Gertrude Bowers in Ontonagan, Mich. He married Carole Weber.

Ernie was an electronic technician for Kearney & Trecker (Giddings & Lewis) in Fond du Lac. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Mukwonago.

Survivors include his wife, Carole; children Laura Luebke, of Waukesha and Cheryl (Douglas) Krebsbach, of Mukwonago; two brothers, Gerald Heiskanen, of Reno, Nev. and Rick Heiskanen, of Elyria, Ohio; and three grandchildren, Dustin, Mitch and Jordan. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14 at St. James Catholic Church, 830 Hwy. NN in Mukwonago. Rev. Robert J. Drutowski will officiate a service that begins at 6 p.m. Tuesday. Burial is at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15 at Oak Knoll Cemetery. Memorials are appreciate to his family.
