LENOIR, N.C. - Armand "Jack" Chester Schmear of Lenoir, N.C., died Nov. 29, 1999, at the age of 80. He was born in Mukwonago on April 29, 1919, the son of Michael and Alta Rogerts Schmear. Jack served in the U.S. Navy, was retired from maintenance and was a member of Lenoir Community Church.

He is survived by his wife, Lorena Anna Schmear of Lenoir, N.C.; his sons, Chester Michael Schmear of Waukesha and Barry Joe Schmear of Mukwonago; his daughter, Becky (Greg) Hickok of Lenoir, N.C.; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters.
