| Jane L. Niesen WAUKESHA - Jane L. Niesen (nee Ravnum), 50, of Waukesha, died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 1999, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. Jane was born Dec. 15, 1948, in Black River Falls to Norman and Doris (nee Wolf) Ravnum. She was raised in Black River Falls and graduated from Black River Falls High School in 1967. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse with a bachelor of science degree and was certified to teach math, physical education and health. She married Charles M. Niesen on June 24, 1972, in Black River Falls. The couple lived the majority of their married lives in Waukesha. Jane taught various grades of school in Lake Geneva and junior high school in Oconomowoc. In 1981, she left teaching to operate a business. The business was sold in 1992, and she resumed her career as a substitute teacher. Jane coached gymnastics in Lake Geneva and Oconomowoc. She was also a certified gymnastics judge and a member of the American Alliance of Physical Education and Recreation. Surviving are her husband, Chuck; three daughters, Melissa, Megan and Stephanie, all of Waukesha; her parents, Norm and Doris Ravnum of Black River Falls; one sister, Susan (David) Stefan of Black River Falls; one brother, John (Geri) Ravnum of Cumberland Gap, Tenn. Funeral services for Jane will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, at Black River Falls Evangelical Lutheran Church. The Rev. Cheryl Matthews will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Black River Falls. Relatives and friends may call at the church Saturday from noon until the time of services.
