Walter H. Wolfgram

PEWAUKEE - Walter H. Wolfgram of Pewaukee was born to Eternal Life on Monday, Dec. 6, 1999, at the age of 88.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Mary (nee Borys). He was the dear father of Nancy (Robert) Szulczewski of Goleta, Calif., Carol of Otis, Mass., Geraldine Peters of Topanga, Calif., Linda (David) Gust of Brisbane, Australia, Kathy of Bexley, Ohio, Wayne (Nancy) of Grosse Point, Mich., and Dan (Joan) of Barrington Hills, Ill.; He is further survived by 11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, sister Helen Raser of Sun City, Ariz., other relatives and friends.

He was a longtime resident of Pewaukee, having moved there from St. Paul, Minn., at the age of 4. He graduated from Pewaukee High School in 1928 and attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Milwaukee. He worked in the banking, insurance and securities industries and retired in 1992. After he retired he became involved in the communities of Pewaukee, Hartland, Brookfield and Waukesha. All seven children and four grandchildren were able to spend a very happy Thanksgiving together with Walter and Mary in Pewaukee.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10, at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 111 Prospect Ave., Pewaukee. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery following the services. Visitation will be held at the church from 11 a.m. Friday until the time of the services. Memorials in Walter’s name to the Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church Expansion Fund, the Rolland Nelson Crossroads Hospice, the Lake Country Players, the Brookfield Players and the Pewaukee Area Historical Society would be appreciated.
