Miss Florence M. Pankratz

WAUKESHA - Florence M. Pankratz of Waukesha died Saturday, Dec. 4, 1999, at Virginia Health Care Center at the age of 87. She was born Sept. 7, 1912, in Manitowoc to Alex and Rose (nee Kappes) Pankratz. Miss Pankratz was a lifelong member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, where she was active in Catholic Study Club. She was the assistant registrar at Waukesha County Technical College for 29 years, retiring in 1968.

She is lovingly survived by her brothers William (Dorothy) Pankratz and Norbert Pankratz, both of Waukesha; her sisters Mary Jane Pankratz of Waukesha and Rosalie "Posy" O’Neil of Akron, Ohio; nieces nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters Helen, Leon, Aloisius (Sam), Marie and Eugene, and also by sisters-in-law Agnes, Mary and Jean Pankratz.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8, at the Randle-Dable Funeral Home, with the parish vigil to be held at 7 p.m. Services begin with prayers at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, from the funeral home to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, with the Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10 a.m.; the Rev. Michael Erwin will officiate. Burial will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Waukesha. Memorials are appreciated to Waukesha County Technical College Endowment Fund.
