Mueller WAUKESHA - Waukesha resident William Theodore Mueller died suddenly and unexpectedly of a massive stroke Tuesday, Nov. 30, 1999, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. He was 79. Mr. Mueller was born June 24, 1920, in Waukesha to the late Theodore and Ella (nee Modler) Mueller. On Oct. 23, 1954, he married Alvina (nee Brennan), who lovingly survives him. Mr. Mueller was a World War II Army veteran, serving in the 252nd Field Artillery Unit in the European Theatre. He worked as a chef for 35 years at Wood Veterans Hospital and 15 years at Carroll College. He was known throughout the neighborhood as the "flower man" for his great love of flowers and he enjoyed working in his greenhouse. He was an active member of The American Legion D.J. Martin Post #8 and also the Chefs and Cooks Culinary Club of Milwaukee. Along with his wife of 45 years he will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Barbara Pollard, Nancy Blunk and Katherine Pollard, all of Austin, Texas; his sister, Dorothy (Robert) Mueller of Appleton, sisters-in-law Janet Mueller of Waukesha, Madelyn Brennan of Palmyra and Gladys (John) Duncan of Delavan as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Gordon, who died April 16, 1999, and his brother, Robert Mueller. Friends may cal from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave. in Waukesha. A second visitation will take place at the funeral home from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3, with the funeral service at 2 p.m. The Rev. Frank Gaylord will officiate.
