Archie R. Goad

Archie R. Goad of Pocahontas, Ark., formerly of Westmont, Ill., and Mayfield, Ky., died Saturday, Dec. 25, 2004, at age 76 in Pocahontas. He was born in Arlington, Ky., on April 4, 1928, the son of Rubin and Cora (nee Flegle) Goad.

Archie retired from G.A.T.X. in Chicago after 32 years of service.

Survivors include his daughter, Suzanne (Martin) Perkins of Mukwonago; his mother, Cora Goad of Mayfield, Ky.; a brother, Richard Goad of Mayfield; three grandchildren, Lindsay, Robert and Scott Perkins; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rubin, and two daughters, Judith and Elizabeth Goad.

A memorial service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 2, at the First Congregational Church of Mukwonago, 231 Roberts Drive. A private interment will be held at Clarendon Hills Cemetery in Darien, Ill.
