Eugene Tompkins

Eugene Tompkins passed away Sunday, Dec. 26, 2004, at age 77 at his residence in Bradenton, Fla.

He is the beloved husband of Barbara (nee Smith); cherished father to Kathleen (Neil) Graves, Linda (Larry) Stegall, Gary (Diane) Tompkins, Christine (Thomas) Fell and Claire (Bruce) Kennel; grandfather to Sherry Schrader, Monica Weis, Diana Graves, Heather Graves, Daniel and David Stegall, Lori Rodenkirch, Karen Fell, Kimberly and Timothy Ferris and John, Jacob and Kevin Tompkins; and is also loved by eight great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his sister-in-law, Carol Tompkins of Albuquerque, N.M., and nieces and nephews.

Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, William and Emma Tompkins, and his brother, Kenneth.

Eugene proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy Pacific Theater during World War II. A former employee of RogerÕs Tire Service, Eugene and Barbara later retired to Florida.

Funeral services will be held the Mansion Memorial Park Funeral Home, 1400 36th Ave. E, Ellenton, Fla.
