Henry G. ‘Hank’ Carlson

Henry G. "Hank" Carlson, 68, of Sussex, died Monday, Dec. 27, 2004.

Hank was the former owner of Carlson Auto Center in Sussex and was a past village board member in Sussex. He was most recently a Waukesha County supervisor, a member of the Sussex Lions Club, president of the Sussex-Lisbon Historical Society and also served on the Waukesha County Federated Library Board.

He is the beloved husband of Jeanne (nee Landon); dear father of Jeri (Don) Bukowski, Julie Carlson, Janice Reeves, Jill (John) Hazod and the late Jeffrey Carlson; son of Clifford Sr. and Mary Carlson; stepfather of Terri (Joe) Wantz and Linda Andrews; and brother of Clifford (Carol) Carlson Jr. He is further survived by 13 grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, at Schmidt & Bartelt A.A. Schmidt & Sons Funeral Home, W250-N6505 Highway 164, Sussex. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 31, at St. James Catholic Church, W220-N6588 Town Line Road, Menomonee Falls (please meet at church). Burial will follow at St. James-Rosehill Cemetery in Sussex.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the St. James Building Fund are appreciated.
