Daniel J. Schaefer was born to eternal life Monday, Dec. 27, 2004, at age 65.

He is the beloved husband of Mary (nee Gollwitzer); loving dad of Danny (Sue) Schaefer and Jenny (Tom) Kachel; proud grandpa of D.J., Bryan and Madeline; loving son of Dora Gahan; and dear brother of Wend (Jamie), Bob (Sandy), Chuck (Marriane), Chad (Cheryl) Schaefer and Barb (Todd) Wittenberg. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A memorial gathering will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 Bluemound Road, Waukesha (on the corner of highways J and JJ). A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Leonard Barbian officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Heart Association are appreciated.
