Larry Bayne Moore

Larry Bayne Moore, 68, of Nashotah, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004, at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital. He was born April 25, 1936, in Fort Madison, Iowa, the son of Lester and Evelyn (nee Watson) Moore. On Sept. 28, 1963, he married Sharon Mikulec in St. Louis.

Larry graduated from Fort Madison High School and Culver Stockton College in Canton, Mo. He was elected to Culver’s Football Hall of Fame in October 2003, and was also elected to Athletes Great Hall of Fame at Culver in 1985.

Larry owned and operated General Fiberglass Supply Inc. of Pewaukee and its five additional branches. He also started Polydine Manufacturing Inc. and Epic Resins Manufacturing Inc. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Ducks Unlimited.

He is lovingly survived by his wife, Sharon; his children, Dana (Dane) LaFontsee of Waterford and Michael (Kristen) Moore of Waukesha; his grandchildren, Dylan and Payton Moore and Liana (Mark) Berry; his parents, Lester and Evelyn Moore of Pewaukee (formerly of Fort Madison); and his mother-in-law, Mary Pleny of Benld, Ill. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Private family services were held. A celebration of Larry’s life will be held April 23 with the time and place to be announced at a later date.
