Oliver Sells Oct. 4, 1918 - Dec. 22, 2004Oliver Sells of Waukesha died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2004, at home at age 86. He was born Oct. 4, 1918, in Crystal Falls, Mich., a son of Victor and Ida (nee Maki) Sillanpaa. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy on a cargo ship from 1944 to 1946. On April 11, 1953, he married Ruth Olson Big in Waukesha. Oliver retired from Warren Oil Co. in 1981. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Waukesha. Oliver is survived by his loving wife, Ruth Sells of Waukesha; his five children, David V. (Diana) Sells of South Surrey, British Columbia, Allen Sells of Marathon, Fla., Janet (David) Morris of Hilton Head, S.C., David Alden Sells of Flint, Mich., and Deborah Weiszmann of Loveland, Colo. He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren, Jeremy Sells, Joanna Sells, Andrea Sells, Craig (Sarah) Sells, Kirk Sells, Jason (Jennifer) Morris, Matthew (Kelly) Morris, Jeffery Sells, Keith Sells, Gina Sells, Michelle Weiszmann and Erica Weiszmann, along with four great-grandchildren, Krysta and Chloe Sells, Tatum Morris and Reagen Morris. Also surviving is Oliverﾕs sister, Evi Ewing of Clarksburg, W.V., along with other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Lillian Maki; and a brother, Raymond. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until a 7 p.m. memorial service Monday, Dec. 27, at First United Methodist Church, 121 Wisconsin Ave., Waukesha. Pastor Dwight Bastian will be officiating. Private services will be held in Prairie Home Cemetery in Waukesha.
