Herman J. Krahn

June 23, 1920 - Dec. 19, 2004

Herman J. Krahn passed away peacefully surrounded by his family Sunday, Dec. 19, 2004, at age 84 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. He was the beloved husband of Doris (nee Fleischman) for 54 years and the dear father of Michael and Richard (Constance) Krahn.

Herman came from a family of 10 brothers and sisters. His surviving brothers are Matthias, Francis (Shirley) and Eugene (Phyllis) Krahn. He is also further survived by other relatives and friends.

Herman was the co-owner and co-founder of Krahn Bros. Oil and Asphalt Corp. from 1946 until 1991.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 27, at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 W. National Ave., New Berlin. A vigil will be held at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, 18000 W. Greenfield Ave. in New Berlin. Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Waukesha.

The family sends a special thanks to Rosemary Schwalbach for the time she spent with Herm, and they also send a special thanks to Dr. Thomas Daugherty.
