Edward J. Mueller Sept. 13, 1913 - Dec. 12, 2004 Edward J. Mueller, age 91, died Sunday, Dec.12, 2004, at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc. He was born Sept. 13, 1913, in Eagle, the son of Herman and Emma (Thurloff) Mueller. He is a retired farmer. He had farmed in the Eagle area his entire life. He is a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in North Prairie, member of the Eagle Historical Society and was a 4-H leader for some 45 years. He is survived by his wife, Welthy (nee Stuedemann). They were married Aug. 20, 1939, in Plato, Minn. He is further survived by his children, Elsbeth Baumgartner of Cambridge and Norma (Gordy) Szalanski of Amberg; his daughter-in-law Diane Mueller of Dousman; seven grandchildren, Patricia, Tim, Rena, Richard, Sheryl, Michael and Neil; eight great-grandchildren; sister Minnie DuBridge of Stegar, Ill.; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his son, Romain; brothers, William, Reinhardt and Carl; his sisters, Meta and Alma; and his grandson, James Baumgartner. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec.16, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 312 N. Main St. in North Prairie. The Rev. Mark Below will officiate with burial at North Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, at Mealy’s Funeral Home, 103 Eagle St. in Eagle and from 9 a.m. until time of services Thursday at the church. If desired, memorials to St. John’s Lutheran Church are appreciated. Mealy’s Funeral Home, 594-2442, is serving the family.
