Janet McGregor, 79, of Adams, died Sunday, Dec. 12, 2004, at the Villa Pines Living Center in Friendship.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Adams. The Rev. James P. McNamee will officiate. Interment will take place at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, at the Colburn-Leola Cemeter in the town of Colburn. Visitation will take place from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, at Roseberry's Funeral Home & Crematory in Friendship with a prayer vigil at 6:30 p.m., and at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of services Wednesday.

Janet was born Oct. 22, 1925, the daughter of Joseph and Lela (Murdock) Harris in Waukesha. She married the late Cyril George Brook on Nov. 3, 1943, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Waukesha. They moved to Adams County in 1980 from Waukesha. Janet married James Donald McGregor on May 18, 1985, in Friendship. She was a member of the Adams VFW Post Ladies Auxiliary #6279 and St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Adams.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents; her husband ,Cyril in 1983; two daughters, Phyllis Larison and Joy Brook; one grandson, Daniel Brook; two brothers, Leroy and Douglas Harris; and two infant sisters.

Survivors include Janet’s husband, James McGregor of Adams; sons, Alvin (Janice) Brook of Friendship, Jeffrey (Debra) Brook of Sussex, Michael (Connie) Brook of Palmyra; step-son, James D. McGregor Jr. of Hancock; daughters, Mary (Norman) Amell of Adams and Susan Robinson of Wisconsin Rapids; step-daughter, Loretta (William) McBride of Waukesha; 11 grandchildren, eight step-grandchidren and 11 great- and step-children.
