Hattie A. Gubernot Hattie A. Gubernot (nee Ambroziewicz), 84, of Waukesha, died Friday, Dec. 10, 2004, at AngelsGrace Hospice. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roman J. Gubernot. Hattie was an outstanding baker who decorated cakes professionally. She loved to knit, crochet, embroider and would make chicken soup for anything that ailed you. The most important thing in Hattie’s life was her family. She had a great sense of humor and would make kitchen towels to give to everyone she loved. She had lived at Oak Hill Village for 10 years, where she would play Mrs. Santa Claus. She had been a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church for the past 10 years. Hattie was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother - homemaker par excellence. She will be dearly missed by her children, Barbara (Thomas) Burton and Robert (RoseMarie) Gubernot; grandchildren, Cynthia Mick, Gregory (Carie) Gubernot and Denise (David) Tisch; great-grandchildren, Brittney, Katerina and Ivy Lynn; stepgreat-grandson, Ian Bashaw; and sister, Stephanie (Edward) Svicek. She is survived by other relatives and friends. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until a noon memorial Mass on Friday, Dec. 17, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 225 S. Hartwell Ave., Waukesha.
