Robert J. Charlson

Jan. 27, 1928-2004

Robert J. Charlson, 76, a longtime resident of the town of Summit, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004, at his home. Robert was born Jan. 27, 1928, in Kenyon, Minn., the son of Iver and Ingabord Charlson. He married Marilynn Sheppard on Jan. 14, 1956.

He was a life master member of the American Contract Bridge League and a World War II veteran.

Robert was a wonderful Norwegian husband, father and grandfather.

Survivors include his wife, Marilynn Charlson; children, Pam (Mike) Green, Patty (Ken) Charlson-Mueller and Penelope Charlson; brother, Curtis Charlson; and grandchildren, Jennifer Hall, Kelly Anne Green, Eric Green, Brittan Green, Preston Green, Bennie Green, Savanna, Kelsey and Mackenzie Mueller, Nichole Goecks, Sumner Goecks, Tyson Goecks and Maxwell Liebfried.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Edward Charlson and Clifford Charlson; and sister, Marion Stephel.

A memorial service will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 22, at Country Springs Hotel, 2810 Golf Road, Waukesha.
