Virginia M. Gore (nee Locke)

March 20, 1912 - Dec. 7, 2004

Virginia M. Gore (nee Locke) of Waukesha, born March 20, 1912, in Brentwood, Tenn., the daughter of Richard and Fannie Locke (nee Kinnard), died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2004, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at age 92.

Virginia was a member of Waukesha Temple Church under the direction of the late Rev. Mrs. G.E. Vonner and later became a member of the Community Baptist Church of Greater Milwaukee.

She will be sadly missed by her children, James (Mary) Gore Jr. and Gloria Olivier; her grandchildren, James (Josefa), Dennis, Denise (Tony Sr.), Dawn and Ara (Julius); her great-grandchildren, Jessica, Janine, Cherie (Eric), Tony Jr. (Kaneshe), Aran, Arick, Saira and Ceara; her great-great-grandchildren, H’Vyn, Kenyjah, Eryn and Tamyra; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Gore Sr., whom she married Aug. 25, 1928; her parents; and her brothers, Ewing Thomas and Richard Henry Locke.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the noon funeral service Saturday, Dec. 11, at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. The Rev. Roy B. Nabors will officiate. Interment will follow at the Prairie Home Cemetery.
