Raymond J. Russ July 6, 1921 - Dec. 28, 2003Raymond J. Russ, age 82, of Dousman, died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2003, at Virginia Nursing Home in Waukesha. Raymond was born July 6, 1921, in Chicago to Peter and Florence (nee Nugent) Russ. He was an auto body repair man and a veteran of World War II. He married the former Helena Cavanagh on May 21, 1950, in Chicago. Survivors include his wife, Helena; his children, Denise Schilling of Fort Atkinson, Deborah Green of Fort Atkinson, Dennis Russ of Palmyra, Doreen (Steve) Harris of Mukwonago, Daniel Russ of Milwaukee and David Russ of Merrill; five grandchildren, his brothers, John Russ of Anchorage, Alaska, Thomas Russ of Lodi; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Grace; and a grandchild, Samantha. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2 at St. Brunoﾕs Catholic Church in Dousman. The Rev. John Schreiter will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the time of the service at the church. Burial will be in St. Brunoﾕs Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kippenberg Creek Kids, W1818 Prairie Forks Drive, Gleason, WI 54435. Pagenkopf Funeral Home, 567-4457, is serving the family.
