Mary Jane ‘Mumsie’ Doern

May 20, 1918 - Dec. 25, 2003

Mary Jane "Mumsie" Doern entered the gates of heaven Thursday, Dec. 25, 2003, at age 85.

Mary is preceded by her husband, Myron Sr., and son, Dennis. She is survived by her family who will miss her more than words can describe, beginning with Donna, Clarice, Myron Jr., Rita, Ronnie, Marie, Linda and Ricky; grandchildren Debbie, Brian, James, David, Brad, Jason, Mark, Chrisie, Jody, Kevin, Myron III, Tracy, Amanda, Chad, Carrie, Brenda and Tony; along with 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Mary was born May 20, 1918, in Chicago and at age 5 she moved to Waukesha and lived her remaining days here. She was a member of St. Joseph’s parish where all her children attended school in their early years.

One of her favorite pastimes was playing cards and occasionally visiting Las Vegas and the local casinos. Her favorite time of year was Christmas when her family and friends came to celebrate at her house every year. She will be missed by all who knew her.

A private service was held for Mary at Church and Chapel Funeral Home in Waukesha on Monday, Dec. 9, 2003. As Mary’s final wish, we wish to all:

Mary’s final resting place will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Waukesha, next to her loving husband, Myron, for any who wish to pay her a visit of respect.

May she rest in peace with God’s blessings. Amen
