Mary A. Puchner Oct. 15, 1916 - Dec. 23, 2003 Mary A. Puchner of Mukwonago passed away Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2003, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at age 87. Mary was born Oct. 15, 1916, in Antigo, the daughter of Harvey and Agnes (nee Byrne) Matheny. Mary was a charter member of the Crazy Quilters Guild of Mukwonago. She was a member of the former Mukwonago Women’s Club and St. James Catholic Church in Mukwonago. Mary co-chaired the Bloodmobile in Mukwonago for many years and was a volunteer at the Clarendon Elementary School library. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Stanley; her daughters, Linda (Conrad) Forster and Joline (Charles) Palatino, both of Mukwonago; her grandchildren, Brett (Kelly) Forster of Wauwatosa, Craig (fiancee Laura Rehlinger) and Kyle Forster, both of Mukwonago, and Lauren and Kent Palatino, both of Mukwonago; a sister, Margaret (Byron) Retzlaff of Wausau; and other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until the 7 p.m. funeral service Tuesday, Dec. 30, at Schmidt & Bartelt-Van Valin Funeral Home, 315 Main St. (Highway ES), Mukwonago. The Rev. Leonard Van Vlaenderen will officiate. A private burial will be held at Oak Knoll Cemetery in Mukwonago. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family for a memorial at Clarendon Elementary School in Mukwonago would be appreciated.
