Carter Malcolm Paine June 3, 1958 - Dec. 20, 2003 Carter Malcolm Paine of Waukesha died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2003, at Froedert Memorial Lutheran Hospital at age 45. Carter was born June 3, 1958, in Waukesha, the son of Archie and Dorothy (nee Sleik) Paine. Carter was employed for 10 years with General Motors/Delphi Electronics, Town of La Grange Police Department/Boat Patrol, Police Department of Sharon and the Village of Winthrop Harbor, Ill., Police Department. He was also a Wisconsin boat safety instructor, a Waukesha County park ranger and the owner of Special Operations Task Force LLC. Carter was a high school graduate of University Lake School in 1976, received an associate degree in electronics technology from Waukesha County Technical College, a bachelor of science in electrical engineering degree from Marquette University, a state of Wisconsin Certified Law Enforcement Officer certification from Waukesha County Technical College and a master}s in business administration from Cardinal Stritch University. Carter will be sadly missed by his wife, Brenda (nee Johnson) of Waukesha, whom he married Jan. 11, 1987; his children, Natasha, Anya and Wyeth Isador; his sister, Barbara Elizabeth (Robert F.) Ptaschinski of Waukesha; his brother, Morgan T. (Janice T.) Paine of Naples, Fla.; his father- and mother-in-law, Victor and Betty Johnson of Black River Falls; his sister-in-law, Lois (Ron) Zdeb of Caledonia; his brothers-in-law, Gene Johnson of Milwaukee and William Johnson of Milwaukee; and his nieces and nephews, Bryant Gauthier, Tamara Ptaschinski Tyler, Matthew Paine, Justin, Angie and Sarah Johnson and Joseph Zdeb. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. Carter was preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Dorothy Paine. A visitation for Carter will be held from 2 p.m. until the 4:30 p.m. funeral service Sunday, Dec. 28, at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 424 Hyde Park Ave. The Rev. James Wilch will officiate. Interment will take place at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 29, at Riverside Cemetery in Black River Falls.
