Karen A. Foose

Karen A. Foose of Waukesha died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2003 at age 44.

Karen was born on Dec. 13, 1959 in New Milford, Conn., the daughter of Paul and Barbara (nee Price) Seifert. Karen graduated from New Milford High School in 1977 and from Southern Connecticut State in 1981. On Oct. 10, 1981, she married Keith W. Foose in New Milford.

Karen taught middle school for several years in Connecticut and Massachusetts and later became a certified optician and worked for Lenscrafters in Brookfield. She also attended First Presbyterian Church in Waukesha.

Karen’s greatest passions in her life were her children and family. Caring for her parents and siblings was foremost in her thoughts. She was also an active volunteer at Lowell Elementary School, YWCA dance and Waukesha hockey.

Karen is survived by her husband; her children, Ryan D. Foose and Megan A. Foose, both of Waukesha; her parents, Paul and Barbara Seifert of New Milford, Conn.; her sisters, Lynn (Bruce) Fraunfelter of Mansfield, Mass. and Priscilla Tiebout of Charlotte, N.C.; her brother, Mark (Julie) Seifert of Franklin, Mass. and her brother-in-law, James D. Foose of Scranton, Penn.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 29 at Church and Chapel Funeral Home, 380 Bluemound Road. A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. with Chaplain Catherine Labinski officiating. Private interment will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery.
