Theresa 'Cuchi' L. Vasquez

Theresa "Cuchi" L. Vasquez, 48, of Waukesha, died at her home Thursday, Dec. 18, 2003. She was born Dec. 6, 1955, in Waukesha, to Leonard and Evangelina (nee Zuniga) Vasquez Sr.

Theresa was a longtime member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and was in the class of 1973 at Waukesha South High School. She had worked for eight years at Filtration Systems Inc. in Waukesha. She also was an avid sports fan, following especially close the Green Bay Packers.

She will be sadly missed by her mother, Evangelina (nee Zuniga) Vasquez; her brothers and sisters, Rosa Trevino Vennino Vasquez of Almond, Jessie Vasquez of Stanley, Maria Vasquez of Waukesha, Leonard Vasquez Jr. of Waukesha, Louie (Liz) Vasquez of Waukesha, Frances (Teodoro) Aguilera of Waukesha, Francisco (Jan) Vasquez of Waukesha, Ramona Escobedo of Waukesha, Ruth Vasquez of Waukesha, Robert Vasquez of Waukesha and Jose (Tracy) Vasquez of Waukesha; her godparents, Jesus and Mona Vasquez of Milwaukee; her godson, Juan Vasquez; her dear friend, Anna Alvarez; her best friend, Teddy; and special friend, Zuluma Ruiz of Waukesha. She is also survived by 22 nephews, 18 nieces, eight great-nieces and 15 great-nephews; step-sons, Jose and Ricardo Ruiz; and other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Leonard Vasquez, and her grandparents, Leopoldo and Ramona Zuniga and Chole and Maria (nee DeJesus) Vasquez.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 26, at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. A Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Services continue with closing prayers at 10:15 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, at the funeral home, then to St. Joseph's Catholic Church for the funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Graveside services will be held Monday, Dec. 29, at St. Joseph's Cemetery; please meet at the cemetery office at 11 a.m.
