Helen L. Morkin

Lifelong Waukesha resident Helen L. Morkin, 80, died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2003. She was born Nov. 5, 1923, to John and Mary (nee Weber) Gebhardt. She was a graduate of Waukesha High School.

She will be sadly missed by her loving children, John (June) Morkin of Waukesha, Camille (Edward) Spurr of Oakland, Md., and Charley (Dawn) Morkin of Big Bend, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She is further survived by sisters, Betty (Mac) McMillan of Waukesha, Dorothy (the late Ben) Rieber of Irvine, Calif., and Donna Gebhardt of Waukesha; a sister-in-law, Bets Gebhardt of Waukesha; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Morkin, in April 1977, and a brother, Jack Gebhardt.

Private funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 19. Interment took place at St. Joseph Cemetery.
