Walter C. Kind

Walter C. Kind, 88, died Monday, Dec. 15, 2003, at Rib Lake Nursing Home in Rib Lake. He was born Dec. 5, 1915, in Pittsville to Alvin and Anna (nee Urbanke) Kind.

Walter had worked at Alloy Products and then at Wisconsin Centrifugal for 12 years. He was an avid bingo player.

He will be sadly missed by his children, David (Joanne) Kind of Waukesha, Donald (Fran) Kind of Waukesha, Sandra (Jim) Grundman of Ogema, Susan McCormack of Waukesha and Robert (Mary) Kind of Waukesha; his grandchildren, Cindy (Tom) Wargolet, Pam (Paul) Benson, Mark, Danny and Christine Kind, Bill (Val) Grundman, John (Amber) Grundman, Tammy, Tracy and Wendy McCormack, Becky and Greg Kind; 17 great-grandchildren; and his brother, Alvin (Beverly) Kind of Waukesha. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice (nee Schwulst) in 1988; his daughter, Deborah Lea Kind in 1956; his grandson, Douglas Kind in 1993; his brothers, Norman, Roman, Oswin, Herbert, Bertram and Arnold; and his sister, Anita Schebo.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. until the 7 p.m. funeral service Wednesday, Dec. 17, at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha, with the Rev. Daniel Schowalter officiating. A second visitation will take place from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 18, at the funeral home. Graveside services will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery.
