Herbert Glaser Dec. 4, 1915 - Dec. 11, 2003Herbert Glaser of Baraboo, formerly of Milwaukee, passed away Thursday, Dec. 11, 2003, at Harbor House in Baraboo at age 88. Herb was born Dec. 4, 1915, in Milwaukee, to Rienholt and Lily (Hillie) Glaser. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, from 1940 to 1945. Herb saw duty in every theater of operation and served with the honor guard during the original dedication of the Normandy Cemetery. He was united in marriage to Eloise Daugs on June 16, 1949, in LaValle. He is survived by sons Gerald (Priscilla) Glaser and Greg (Michelle) Glaser of LaValle; eight grandchildren, Jeremiah, Steffanie, Nathaniel, Elizabeth, Emily, Tara, Kayla and Gregory; one sister, May Salow; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Herb was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Eloise; and siblings, Albert, Emil, Jean and Lynn. Services will be held at 7 p.m. today, Dec. 16, at Redlin Funeral Home, 201 Eighth Ave., Baraboo, with the Rev. Erick Tirrel officiating. Friends may call from 5 p.m. today until the time of services at the funeral home. Burial will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17, at Oak Lawn Cemetery in LaValle.
