James ‘Jim ‘ Williams

James "Jim’ Williams of Lyndon Station died Friday, Dec. 12, 2003, at Meriter Park Hospital in Madison at age 58.

Jim was born July 23, 1945, in Waukesha, the son of Norbert and Lois (Moore) Williams and grew up in Waukesha. In August 1963 he enlisted in the U.S. Marines and was honorably discharged at the rank of sergeant four years later. In September 1965, he married Patricia Low. After his military service he worked at the Waukesha Foundry and retired from there in 1994 as an inspector at which time he moved to Lyndon Station. He was then employed at Teel Plastics in Baraboo. Jim loved Corvettes, enjoyed collecting baseball cards and was a devoted New York Yankees fan. He was also a past steelworkers union president.

Jim was a loving husband, father and grandfather and is survived by his wife, Patricia, a son, Victor, of Greendale; a daughter, Michelle (James) Kollath, of Hubertus; a brother, Richard "Dick" (Kathryn) Williams, of Waukesha; and grandchildren, Kurtis and Molly Kollath. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the 1 p.m. service Tuesday, Dec. 16, at the Conway Picha Funeral Home of Lyndon Station, 450 County HH. The Rev. Daniel R. Dibbert will officiate. Following the traditional services, Jim will be cremated.
