Herbert W. Glaser

Herbert W. Glaser of Baraboo, formerly of Milwaukee, passed away Thursday, Dec. 11, 2003, at Harbor House in Baraboo at age 88.

Herb was born Dec. 4, 1915, in Milwaukee to Rienholt and Lily (Hillie) Glaser. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, from 1941 to 1945. He was united in marriage to Eloise Daugs on June 16, 1949, in LaValle.

He is survived by two sons, Gerald (Sally) Glaser and Greg (Michelle) Glaser of LaValle; eight grandchildren, Jeremiah, Stephanie, Nathan, Elizabeth, Emily, Tara, Kayla and Gregory; one sister, May Salow; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Herb was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Eloise; and siblings Albert, Emil, Jean and Lynn.

Services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16, at Redlin Funeral Home, 201 Eighth Ave., Baraboo. The Rev. Erick Tirrel will officiate. Friends may call from 5 p.m. until the time of services Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17, at Oak Lawn Cemetery in LaValle.
