Dorothy Pagenkopf Downing WAUKESHA
Longtime Waukesha resident Dorothy Pagenkopf Downing died Thursday, Dec.
26, 2002, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at age 83. She was born June 6,
1919, in Guelph, N.D., the daughter of Albert and Clara (nee Anderson)
Pagenkopf. She is
survived by her children, Chris (Ronn) Barker of Colgate, Thomas
(Patricia) Downing of Merton and Marilyn (James) Lehrer of Louisville,
Ken. Dorothy is the grandmother of Angie (Cory) Steinhaus, Heather Isham,
Lauren Barker, Mitchell Isham and Liz Downing, and the great-grandmother
of Destinee Bradley, Alexander Steinhaus and Matthew Isham. Also surviving
are other relatives and friends. Dorothy was preceded in death by her
husband, Edward; her mother and father; and her sisters, Laverna and
Frances. She was
employed in the offices of Morrison Advertising, Curdolac Food Co.,
Waukesha Motor Works, Secretarial Services, Thomas Press and Waukesha
County Park and Planning. She was a lifetime member of the Veterans of
Foreign Wars Auxiliary, and was an active member of St. Markユs
Lutheran Church. Friends
may call from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 29, at St. Markユs
Lutheran Church, 424 Hyde Park Ave., Waukesha. Funeral services will
follow at 2 p.m.; the Rev. James L. Wilch will officiate. Private
interment will be at Prairie Home Cemetery. In lieu
