Ernest O. ‘Ernie’ Nyman

WAUKESHA - Ernest O. "Ernie" Nyman passed away peacefully with his family by his side Thursday, Dec. 5, 2002, at age 82. He was born July 27, 1920, in Ironwood, Mich., to Charles and Ida (nee Johnson) Nyman.

He was the beloved husband of Virginia (nee Wilcox) for 60 years; loving father of the late James, Jelene (Doug) Peot, Dennis (Connie) and Charles (Anne); proud grandfather of Robb, Cyndi, Kris, Tom and Pattie, Cathie, Debbie, Morgan and Garrett; great-grandfather of six; and dear brother of Evelyn Ferkovich and Eleanore Niles.

Ernie was a retiree of Amron and a member of American Legion Post No. 304, Palmyra.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9, at Christ the Servant Lutheran Church, W250-S3635 Center Road, Waukesha (Highway 59 and Center Road). Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, at Christ the Servant Lutheran Church, with interment at Valhalla Memorial Gardens, 5402 N. 91st St., Milwaukee (91st Street and Silver Spring Road); please meet at the cemetery entrance at 11:45 a.m.
