Vera M. Gloff
WAUKESHA - Vera M. Gloff, 90, of Waukesha, died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2002, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. She was born July 26, 1912, in Waukesha, the daughter of Arthur and Georgia (nee Heiser) Hine. Vera had been a homemaker and was particularly fond of baking cookies for her family. Vera was a retiree from the housekeeping department at Waukesha Memorial Hospital, where she had been employed for many years. Vera is survived by her children, Kathryn Ostrowski of Waukesha, James (Lorrie) Panawash of Beaver Dam, Geraldine (Art) Maass of Waukesha, Lyle Panawash of Waukesha, Darlene (Albert) Damitz of Eagle River and Dennis (Nancy) Panawash of Waukesha. Vera is also survived by her brothers, Donald (Donna) Close of Waukesha and Jack (Margaret) Close of Waukesha; her sisters, Georgia (Bill) Hunkins of Waukesha, Mary (Zane) Dodge of Gillman and Ethel Smith of Waukesha; 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. Vera was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter Panawash; her second husband, Ernest Gloff; her sisters, Adeline Hine, Hazel Falk, Mildred Yont and Faye Johnson; and by her brother, Willard Hine. Funeral services for Vera were private and were held at the Rudolph-Larsen Bros. Funeral Home in Waukesha. Burial took place at Prairie Home Cemetery. Rudolph-Larsen Bros. Funeral Home, 542-7111, is serving the family.
