Betty C. Vorlob

MADISON - Betty C. Vorlob, 76 of Watertown, died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2001. She was born March 2, 1925 in Bristol, England to John and Emma (nee Thwaites) Campbell. Betty married Carl E. Vorlob on March 4, 1944 in Bristol, England.

She is survived by her three daughters, Karen (Joe) Collins of Waukesha, Barbara (Rick) Lemke and Susan (John) Bruchman of Watertown; her two sisters, Jean (Freddie) Bissat of Geneva, Switzerland and Barbara (Arthur) Smith of Hartcliffe, Bristol, England; seven grandchildren, Jacquelynn (Tim) Russell, Kristie (Joe) Wagner, Stephanie Bruchman, Justin Bruchman, Bradford Lemke, Jason Lemke and Megan Lemke; three great-grandchildren, Scott Russell, McKenna Lemke and Damien Wagner; friends Victor Perschke and Ray and Liz Wolfram and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Carl, who died Feb. 24, 1970, and four sisters and two brothers.

Betty was a homemaker and seamstress working out of her home. She was a volunteer at St. Vincent DePaul in Watertown. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and had enjoyed dancing. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Watertown and served on the Ladies Aid.

The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 3 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Watertown. Clergy overseeing the service will be Revs. Mark Gartner and Anthony Schultz. Visitation is Wednesday, Jan. 2, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Hafemeister Funeral Home, 611 E. Main St., and on Thursday from 10 a.m. to the time of the service. Burial will take place at Glenview Memorial Gardens in Ixonia.
