Jerome J. ‘Butch’ Kennedy

DOUSMAN - Jerome J. "Butch" Kennedy, 55, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2001, at his residence in Dousman. He was born in Waukesha on May 10, 1946, to Alois and Margaret (nee Adams) Kennedy.

Butch served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War era. On Dec. 26, 1985, he married Ruth McLaughlin. He worked as an assembler at Cooper Power and was an avid pool player. He was a member of Zion Episcopal Church in Oconomowoc.

He is lovingly survived by his wife, Ruth; his children, Carrie (Eric) Schultz of Waukesha, Jason Kennedy of Okauchee and Justin Kennedy and Christine Kennedy, both at home; his grandson, Austin; his brother, David Kennedy of California; his sister, Janice Trombley of Waukesha; and his mother, Margaret Kennedy of Waukesha. He was preceded in death by his father, Alois, and his brother, Jim.

A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, at the Schmidt & Bartelt Notbohm-Kreutzmann Funeral Home, 121 S. Cross St., Oconomowoc; the Rev. James Kaestner officiating. Friends may visit from 4 p.m. until the 7 p.m. service Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31, at Ottawa Cemetery.
