RHINELANDER - Hannah Marie Braun (nee Moore) of Rhinelander, formerly of West Allis and Ottawa, went home to be with our Lord on Monday, Dec. 24, 2001. Hannah was born in Merrill on June 1, 1904, and was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, Raymond; her sister, Gladys Shield; her grandson, Steven Braun; her granddaughter, Judith Schwartz; and her great-grandson, Adam Schwartz. Hannah was a former member of the Ottawa Presbyterian Church and the United Presbyterian Church of West Allis. She served as church organist for 35 years in several different churches. She was secretary to the professor of military science at St. John’s Northwestern Military Academy in Delafield until her retirement. Hannah was the loving mother of Earl (Julie) Braun of Rhinelander and Marilyn (Richard) Schwartz of Eagle, and is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by two sisters, Grace (Moore) Parsons of Arizona and Ruth (Moore) Burrows of DeForest, and nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 920 County Road H, Elkhorn; the Rev. Victor Koshir will officiate.
