BIG BEND - Marc A. DePriest, 49, of Big Bend, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2001, at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee. He was born in Cumberland on June 16, 1952, to Lyle and Dorothy (nee Sutherland) DePriest. The happiest day of his life was Dec. 13, 1998, when he married the former Susan Schmeling. He was a 1970 graduate of Waukesha High School. He will always be remembered as a mechanic to everyone he knew.

Marc is survived by his loving wife, Susie DePriest of Big Bend; mother, Dorothy DePriest; three children, Bridget (Jon) Laughlin of Palm Coast, Fla., Valorie (Jason) St. George of Oconomowoc and Marie Cantwell of Oconomowoc; grandchildren, Brandon Laughlin, McKenna Cantwell and Sawyer St. George; brothers and sisters, Sharon (Bob) Pugh of Waukesha, Dawn Paguette of Milwaukee, Dennis (Brenda) DePriest of Milwaukee, Shelly Sullivan of Milledgeville, Ga., and Tracy Strand of Waukesha; father- and mother-in-law, Bill and Dorothy Schmeling; and other relatives and many friends.

Marc was preceded in death by his father, Lyle DePriest, and sisters, Sandra Beilke, Debra DePriest and Patty Jo DePriest.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service Saturday, Dec. 29, at the Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha. The Rev. Peter Schmidt will officiate. Burial will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery.
